JAVA AND SUMATRA

Lake Toba

We went from Medan to an Island witch were in a lake, called Lake Toba. The lake was formed from an enormous old volcanic crater. At the Island we spent a lot of time with a french girl, Myriam and a scottish gus called Gordon. We rented bikes and went around the beautiful island. We stayed there for three days before we had to fly to Singapore.

Jakarta

We took a night train from Yogyakarta to Jakarta, it took over 12 hours. We were the only ones who werent Indonesian. There were peolple screaming, trying to sell us stuff. The troubadours were tone deaf. It was so full we could barely move, and there was no space at all for the legs. We basically sat on plywood. Everyone tried to speak Indonesian to us, and then the hole compartment laughed at us?
And even though it was so hot we couldnt breath, people were smoking all the time! But you get what you pay for, 3 dollars (27 kr)
